A tin Santa with a red hat, a sprig of holly and a broad white beard, 20 inches tall and 17 1/2 inches wide to be the first thing anyone sees at the front door. Black wire coils run across the beard, and each one holds a Christmas card, a photo card or a note as the mail comes in through the month. A jute rope hanger is fitted at the top, so it goes on a wall, a door or the front of a mantel with no hardware fuss. Mud Pie cut the whole face from tin.
