Gingerbread trees, snowflakes, iced mittens and cupcakes are printed all over this oval platter, so the first batch of cookies cooling on it already looks like a bakery window. Stack the cooled ones on top, and the platter holds the whole scene of a December baking afternoon.

In stoneware from Ganz, it has a bright red rim around a pastel print on white. Set it out with a plate of the real thing, and the cookies and the cookie print make a happy pair. Look closely and you find sugar cookie stars, gumdrops, frosted cupcakes and sprinkles scattered between them, all on a ground that lets the colors glow.
