Hand painted on speckled stoneware, this flat angel holds a small green wreath dotted with red berries, her gown washed in pale sage and her wings drawn in loose black line work that leaves the brush marks showing. A length of twine ties through the top in a neat bow and hangs her wherever you like. She measures 5 1/4 inches by 4 1/2 inches. Put her on the tree, prop her in a shelf of greenery, or knot the twine around a wrapped box so the gift arrives with its own ornament. Mud Pie kept the palette soft, which suits a home that leans natural at Christmas rather than red and gold.
