An apple cut from clear acrylic, printed deep red with Santa's Favorite Teacher across the front and open space underneath waiting for a name. The permanent marker comes with it, so the child writes the name at the kitchen table, which is the whole point of the thing. A green grosgrain ribbon runs through the stem for hanging. The ornament measures 4 by 3 1/4 inches and arrives on a kraft card, ready to slip into a bag with a tin of cookies on the last day before winter break. Mud Pie sells the ornament and marker together, so nothing else needs buying.
