The sheep on the side of this mug wears a Santa hat and a red plaid bow, raised in the mold against speckled cream stoneware so the outline stands up under a fingertip. Green runs through the rest of the piece: a green handle, a green glazed interior with a thin red line at the rim, and green stripes around the pedestal foot. It suits tea beside the tree, the second cup on a slow December Saturday, or the person on your list who adds one new mug every year. Mud Pie paints each one by hand.
