Red Ribbed Glass Candle Holder

Light a taper in this ribbed red glass holder and the Christmas table glows in every groove before the first dish is served. It takes a taper or a votive, so the same piece can carry a tall candle for a dressed-up dinner and a short one on an ordinary weeknight.

Space a few along a runner, give one beside a bottle of wine for the host, or pair one with a votive for the office Secret Santa. The deep red from RAZ Imports suits Valentine's Day just as well, so it earns a second season on the table in February.

• Holds a taper candle or a votive candle
• Measures 3 in. across and 2 in. tall
• Made of red glass with a ribbed surface
• Sold individually; the photo shows two side by side
