Around here the palms get their lights in December too, which makes this the ornament that looks like an Arizona Christmas. Each one is a glass palm with a segmented trunk and green fronds, a string of little red, blue, green, yellow and purple bulbs wound through the leaves the way a porch palm gets dressed for the season. Kurt S. Adler, Inc. makes two shapes, so choose the palm you like best. Send one home with a winter visitor, hang one on a beach house tree, or tuck one in the stocking of a friend who just moved to the desert.

Each item sold separately. Each order includes one in your selected design.

• Upright Palm: a tall crown of fronds over a trunk that rises nearly straight
• Leaning Palm: a wide crown over a trunk that sweeps to one side
• Glass, colored bulbs strung through the fronds, cord hanger
