Needlepoint Santa Christmas Ornament, 2.5 Inch

Santa's face worked in needlepoint, small enough at 2 inches by 2 1/2 inches to hang on a slim branch near the front of the tree where the stitching shows. The red hat is stitched flat with a raised white pom at the tip, the beard is worked in loose white loops, and a green whipstitch edges the piece all the way around. The back is velvet and the loop is cotton cord. Give this ornament to a teacher with a note, or tie it onto a wrapped present in place of a bow. Mud Pie keeps the palette to classic red, white and green.
