An angel cut in ceramic, 5" x 4 1/2", glazed a clean white with hand-painted electroplate detail in gold tracing the wings, the head and the hem of the robe. Small enough for a nightstand or a bathroom counter, it takes rings and earrings when you turn in for the night and holds salted almonds, mints or a few chocolates when company comes. The shape reads Christmas without announcing it, so it can stay out well past Epiphany. Mud Pie sends it in a kraft gift box printed in gold script, which is why it works as a hostess gift, a teacher gift, or the small thing you set beside someone's plate at Christmas dinner.
