Hang a four or five foot finial from a stairwell or a porch beam and the holiday decorating is done in one gesture. The elongated ornament shape in distressed gold has the scale of a hotel lobby and the weight of iron, so it moves gently and catches light without looking like plastic. Choose the small at 49 inches or the large at 61, hang the two at staggered heights, and it becomes the thing guests photograph. By Kalalou.
