That afternoon in late September when the summer wreath comes down and the fall one goes up: this acorn is made for it. A plaid cap edged in braided trim sits on a soft, rounded body, and the long bamboo stem lets you place it right where an arrangement needs a little something.

Each item sold separately. Each order includes one in your selected color.

Work one into the grapevine wreath on the front door, stand a few among dried hydrangeas in a pitcher, or push one into the pot of mums by the steps so it peeks above the blooms. If you are building a Thanksgiving centerpiece, the three colors mix easily: burnt orange for warmth, forest green for depth, cream to lighten the whole arrangement. Ganz tops each one with its own autumn plaid.
