Six inches tall and four across, this standing cross is cast in clear resin with a small oval medallion set at its center, a layered hand-painted plaster icon whose raised gold cross catches the light from the front. The finish is clean and unfussy, so it sits quietly next to framed photographs rather than competing with them. It suits a bedside table, a bookshelf, a desk at work or a mantel. Mud Pie kept the design plain enough to give for a baptism, a confirmation, a first communion or a sympathy call, and plain enough that it stays out long after the occasion has passed.
