Christmas Tree and Velvet Bow Embroidered Hand Towel

A slim Christmas tree is embroidered in fine green stitches on white, hung with pastel knot ornaments and a gold star at the top, and red velvet bows are tacked to the branches so they stand off the surface. An open hemstitch runs above the hem. Hand wash only, line dry, and press on the reverse so the velvet stays flat. At 21 by 14 inches it does the work of a guest bath towel through December and comes out again when people are coming for dinner. Mud Pie kept the palette restrained, which lets it sit in a room that is not otherwise decorated for the season.
