A long dog in a candy cane headband is the holiday planter that makes people stop and grin. The glossy hand painted ceramic works with a small plant, cut greenery, or a few sprigs of berries, and it looks just as good standing empty on a shelf. For the dachshund household this is the gift, and for everyone else it is the piece that keeps the Christmas table from taking itself too seriously. By Kalalou.
