With its head turned back over one shoulder as if something in the branches just caught its eye, this quail in rust, olive and barred tan feathers looks like it has a story of its own. The coloring ranges from russet at the chest to a deep green sheen across the back, so it looks different from every angle.

Tuck it low in the boughs of the tree and it seems to have nested there for the season, settling in beside the ornaments with its tail feathers fanned behind. Beneath the plumage, K&K Interiors builds the body on polyfoam, which gives it a plump, rounded shape that sits well among the greens.
