The design is a sheet of ruled notebook paper, right down to the red margin and the three punched holes, printed onto a round acrylic disc that reads Best Teacher with the line beneath it left blank. Write the name in with the permanent marker that comes with it, then hang it by the grosgrain ribbon. It measures 3 3/4 inches across. Coming from one child or from a whole class, a Mud Pie ornament is the December gift that gets kept and rehung, which a mug rarely does.
