For anyone who sees a cardinal and thinks of someone they miss, this is the Santa to hang where the whole family will notice him. He wears a long sage green coat edged in frosted white fur, with sprigs of mistletoe climbing the hem, a quieter palette than the usual red that sits easily beside natural greens and white lights. Kurt S. Adler, Inc. casts him in resin with a finely painted face, heavy enough to hang steady on a branch and to stand on a shelf once the tree comes down. Choose the cardinal or the wreath for a grandmother who feeds the birds, a friend hosting Christmas Eve, or the top of a stocking.
