All twelve gifts run end to end along this chambray table runner, numbered one through twelve in dark script with a small watercolor scene for each, from the partridge in a pear tree to the drummers drumming. A red tartan plaid contrast edge frames the whole length. At 16 by 72 inches it covers a dining table with room left for plates on either side, and it settles just as easily down a buffet, a console, or an entry table. Front and back are 100 percent cotton over a polypropylene lining for structure. Layer it under white dinnerware, a row of tapers and cut greenery for the table Mud Pie clearly had in mind.
